A word of warning before your next doctor visit:

A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by one of the younger doctors. After about four minutes in the examination room, she burst out screaming as she ran down the hall. An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she told him her story. After listening, he had her sit down and relax in another room. The older doctor marched down the hallway back to where the young doctor was writing on his clipboard.

"What's the matter with you?" the older doctor demanded. "Mrs. Terry is 71 years old, has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?"

The younger doctor continued writing and without looking up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?"

The country western band I play in is doing a charitable event for the Knights of Columbus council 9599 and Kolbe Charities with all the donations going to the charities these two organizations support. For $20 you get a great rib eye steak dinner, or chicken if you prefer, and dancing to the music of "The Warner Express Band" . They will have a no host bar with very reasonable prices, opportunity drawing, and a raffle. We'll even get our own reserved table. Maybe we can make this a mini-reunion. I've attached a flyer for this event. Call me if you're interested, my number is on the flyer. Hope to see you there.

I know we have a lot of golfers among our members:

Three men were playing golf. The course was a wicked dogleg with a large water hazard.

The first man stepped up to the tee and hit a sharp slice into the water hazard. He walked up to the water; it parted, and he lofted his ball within one foot of the hole.

The next man stepped up and hit the ball. Sure enough, he sliced it so that it landed on top of the water. He walked across the surface of the water and hit the ball within six inches of the hole.

The third man stepped up, hit the ball, and sliced it. The ball was just about to land in the water when a trout jumped out of the water and grabbed it in his mouth. An eagle swooped down, scooped up the fish, and flew off. As the eagle banked over the green, lightning struck it, it dropped the fish, the fish dropped the ball, and it landed in the hole for a hole in one.

Moses turned to Jesus and said, "I really hate playing golf with your Dad."

Yes, Mike, that was the work of stop motion phtography pioneer Willis H. OBrien. Considering the time when it was made the special effects are mind boggling. And thanks for posting the video, Greg. This old cinema teracher truly appreciated the trip down memory lane.

Thank you very much from myself, Kolbe Charities, and the Knights of Columbus to all my fellow 1965 Graduates who attended the Charity Steak Fry on Saturday evening. Hope everyone enjoyed the dinner and had a great time partying. Sorry I couldn't spend a lot of time visiting with you guys but as you could tell I was pretty busy. The charity event was a big success and was able to collect over $5,000.00 which will be distributed to all the local Charities our organizations support. Thanks again.

ABOUT GROWING OLDER...

Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

Hi Greg, here in France 71 going on 40, but have to agree the Algrebra thing would never take me back to HS Geometry and Physics were great, but Algebra still not certain if I ever really passed.
