It's cool watching more of our fellow Rebels involved in the forum as a result of coronavirus. It made me realize that it's been 55 years since the lives we are living were so similar. It's this commonality that makes this forum a must read for many of us. Stay SAFE!

"12th day of self-isolation and it's like Vegas in my house. We're losing money by the minute, cocktails are acceptable at any hour, and nobody knows that time it is."

A great thought from the Bard for these times:

Sweet are the uses of adversity, Which, like the toad, ugly and venomous, Wears yet a precious jewel in his head; And this our life, exempt from public haunt, Finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, Sermons in stones, and good in every thing.

As You Like It

Good Morning Friends, Happy Monday! I'm watching it rain here in Orange County.  We so need it! I find it easier to stop and enjoy all the blessings in life now that I am required to stay in.  I'm doing many things remotely to stay connected with family and friends.  It is great to hear from you all with your funny comments, videos, memes, and inspirational quotes and messages.  So glad to still be together with my looong time classmates.

Who would have thought that Shakespeare would provide us some insight on managing our isolation? Thanks for bringing some culture to our discussions.

I just gave my wife a dart and a poster of a world map.
I said, "Throw this and wherever it lands I'm taking you on vacation when this pandemic is over."
Turns out we're going to be spending two weeks behind the fridge.

Hey everyone, I love reading your hillarious stories and posts.  It is a great addition to this unreal time.  Stay safe and healthy.  Steve and I are missing the opportunity to hug and kiss our only grandson.  My daughter, Colleen calls us on Duo and we get to see him changing almost everyday.  Thank you for being out there for everyone.

A perfect quote Mike. And I  loved your vacation joke, Greg. Remember that Shakespeare himself lived through three bouts of plague so there is much levity in is writings. I(agree with Kathleen and Judy-- The wit and wisdom are much appreciated. It's greast to stay connected. Stay safe and well!

It's day 98 of quarantine and I found out I have the most loving wife: Last night I woke up while she was holding a pillow tightly over my face to protect me from Covid-19!

In October 1965 this song hit the Billboard Hot 100 and now almost 55 years later it returns (albeit in a more grown-up format) to help us get through this.

Nice to hear from everyone, Greg, your posts are the best.  Hang On everyone.  All is well here in Bordeaux, just very quiet.  Seems like in this region, most people are taking the "stay home" order very well, unlike Paris. They really had a hard time keeping people in and now it is the hotbed of the virus in France.  Best wishes to all and keep the creative content flowing.  Thanks

Loved the Sloopy rendition.  I was born in Columbus while visiting my grandparents while my Dad was overseas during WWI, but have always been a Wisconsin Badger fan.  My family is from Wisconsin.

Linda, as you were born in Akron, I would have thought you would be a Zip, not a Buckeye!smiley

Jerry, I figured OSU was your college team given your misguided devotion to the Cleveland Browns :)

Hang on everyone and as so many before me have said: STAY SAFE!

This is for all the Buckeyes!

Joan Elliott (Euans)

Leave her alone, Michael. If she says she's a Buckeye, she's a Buckeye and so am I ...graduate of THE Ohio State University with the best college football song ever. And all the local high schools play the same song at their football games. Go Bucks!

Boy, I'm glad I have so many team mates. I was born in Cleveland and will always be a Browns, Indian, and OSU fan. Go Buckeyes, The Dog pound, and Chief Wahoo. And don't forget the Rebels. Keep safe and healthy.

Mike I only lived in Akron a short time because my Dad was in the Army, so I moved pretty much every 2 or 3 years. I lived in Athens, Greece, Frankfurt and Munich Germany and 5 states. Ended up in Anaheim and Savanna. I'm so glad I made so many wonderful friends!!

Thanks Linda I have good writers. I love it when the world of today takes music from our generation and shares the spirit. This (IMHO) is an amazing bit of musicianship and film editing.
