Leave her alone, Michael. If she says she's a Buckeye, she's a Buckeye and so am I ...graduate of THE Ohio State University with the best college football song ever. And all the local high schools play the same song at their football games. Go Bucks!

Boy, I'm glad I have so many team mates. I was born in Cleveland and will always be a Browns, Indian, and OSU fan. Go Buckeyes, The Dog pound, and Chief Wahoo. And don't forget the Rebels. Keep safe and healthy.

Mike I only lived in Akron a short time because my Dad was in the Army, so I moved pretty much every 2 or 3 years. I lived in Athens, Greece, Frankfurt and Munich Germany and 5 states. Ended up in Anaheim and Savanna. I'm so glad I made so many wonderful friends!!

Thanks Linda I have good writers. I love it when the world of today takes music from our generation and shares the spirit. This (IMHO) is an amazing bit of musicianship and film editing.

Thanks Greg.  The Playing For Change website has long been one of my favorites.  This is the first one they did.  Some of my other favorites are Gimme Shelter and Imagine (try and keep a dry eye when you watch this one).  Many songs from our youth are on their site.  Says a lot about the GREAT music of our times.

What a nice treat. Thanks for introducing us to this website.

Like Linda, thank you for sharing this site, plus really enjoy reading all the posts,   Helps pass some time while "lockdown" in my home.  Funny always thought of that term as something to do with Prison or Jail when the prisoners got out of control.  Knowing us, most likely a proper use of the term.

I've heard Playing for Change on satellite radio (Margaritaville) but didn't get it until I shared this video. If you're looking for inspiration subscribe to their YouTube channel. The positive emotion they bring is inspiring.

Yeah Mitch lockdown is a good description. I've got all this time on my hands and I can't even go to Vegas.

I was thinking, Mike has entertained us with his best-of lists. How about if we shared our best of Corona Virus masks that we're supposed to be wearing in public. It would help if we stumble across one another out on the street.

I don't think anyone can top that one. c :) And this will certainly help you keep social distancing should anyone accidentally get too close.

Pegi Spence (Sadler)

Agreed Linda!  I would definitely cross the road.  Thank you for all the music, it was a wonderful treat this morning.  Stay safe and healthy.  I'm doing my best with long walks.  So far I'm able to keep my distance from everyone.

Greg and Richard, the songs you posted are just wonderful.  I don't remember how I came across it, but I have also enjoyed songs from Play for Change for some time.  They start with great songs and then bring together these wonderful collaborations.  Sometimes, like with their first effort, "Stand by Me", the players are unknowns, but make a strong and touching recording.  Their success has also led to participation by a number of well know music stars.  The organizers/producers/music editors seem to be very skilled at blending recordings from multiple sources into a compelling presentation.  Great, uplifting stuff.

Self-Isolation Quarantine Diary:
Day 1 - I can do this!! Got enough food and wine to last a month!
Day 2 - Opening my 8th bottle of wine. I fear wine supplies might not last!
Day 7 - Strawberries: Some have 210 seeds; some have 235 seeds. Who knew?
Day 8 - 8 p.m.: Removed my Day Pajamas and put on my Night Pajamas.
Day 10 - Today, I tried to make hand sanitizer. It came out as Jell-O Shots!!
Day 14 - Laughing way too much at my own jokes!!
Day 19 - I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight, I'm getting all dressed up and going bar hopping.
Day 22 - Struck up a conversation with a spider today. Seems nice. He's a web designer.
Day 28 - Isolation is hard. I swear my fridge just said, "What the hell do you want now?"
Day 33 - I realized why dogs get so excited about something moving outside, going for walks or car rides. I think I just barked at a squirrel.
Day 35 - If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can't accidentally touch your face.
Day 40 - Anybody else feel like they've cooked dinner about 195 times this month and its's only the 13th?

Well, I had my laughs for today! Thank you. I need to visit more often.

Mike, where did you ever find my purple prom dress?

Greg, I'm glad to hear my refrigerator isn't the only one talking. I'm running out of the "comfort food" excuse.

And my new mantra (read on a box somewhere), IT IS NOT A CRIME TO HAVE WINE WITH LUNCH!

If I want a midnight snack and go look in the kitchen, all I find is groceries and ingredients.

What ever happened to finding something to eat?

I can't rival Greg, but here is my first attempt. smiley

These are actual comments made by Georgia State Troopers that were taken off their car videos:

1. "You know, stop lights don't come any redder than the one you just went through."

2. "Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch after you wear them a while."

3. "If you take your hands off the car, I'll make your birth certificate a worthless document." (My Favorite)

4. "If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."

5. "Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second? Because that's the speed of the bullet that will be chasing you." (LOVE IT)

6. "You don't know how fast you were going? I guess that means I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?"

7. "Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help. Oh, did I mention that I'm the shift supervisor?"

8. "Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll give you another ticket."

9. "The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not. Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

10. "Fair? You want me to be fair? Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides, eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop."

11. "Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."

12. "In God we trust; all others we run through NCIC." ( National Crime Information Center )

13. "Just how big were those 'two beers' you say you had?"

14. "No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we're allowed to write as many tickets as we can."

15. "I'm glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours. So you know someone who can post your bail."

AND THE WINNER IS....

16. "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here."

This is so cool! It's great to see more Rebels participating in the forum.

Charles, I've been to Georgia and I believe every one of those stories.

Keep it up and Stay Safe!

If they had just called it the "Stay at Home Challenge" and posted it on Facebook, the virus would have been gone by now.

You guys are both hilarious! I really do laugh out loud and need that during this strange time we are living through. Thank you so much!!

Way to go Charles. Greg needs some competition. Good job keeping us amused during this difficult time.

Linda Wonn (Carpenter)

I agree Greg. It should have been called "The Stay at Home Challenge" with idivdual prizes awarded as well as collective prizes awared to cities and states. Prizes could range from door dash dinners, to gloves snd masks, to 24 packs of toilet paper to bars containers of foam soap to Chlorox wipes and then the grand prize would be a case of hand sanitizer. Woo Hoo. Dog pounds and rescue organizations could drop off kittens and puppies as well as older animals to be fostered to qualified homes. Paying families for pet food and supplies for thesed "fosters" (many of whom would most likely be legally adupted by the end of the summer) would be considerably less expensive than keeping shlters running with bare bones staff and downhearted animals. This  is a win win situation.  Too bad you are not in Congress. I think your idea would really fly. :)
